Captain James T. Kirk is the Captain of the Starship Enterprise in the Original Series of Star Trek. Throughut the three seasons the series was on, Star Trek revolutionized televison and was used as a polictial tool by Gene Roddenberry. However, this is about Kirk not Star Trek
Captain Kirk was born at Riverside, Iowa, Earth in the year 2233. He went to Starfleet Academy, between 2250-2254. Kirk died saving the U.S.S. Enterprise B from destruction a few minutes into its maiden voyage.
